HOW DID WE FALL IN LOVE WITH NEW ORLEANS?

At Once.Madly.

Our Story

It all started with an empty courtyard on Beaver Street, and a trip to New Orleans where the concept of Sewickley Quarter emerged over banana fosters tableside in the famed Court of Two Sisters restaurant.

The Takeaway?

Banana Fosters is always a good idea, and a true French Quarter courtyard consists of five essential elements:

ENCLOSURE

To stay tucked away, private and hidden.

FOLIAGE

Lush greens and nature you can see and feel.

FOCAL POINT

A water element, typically a fountain, that adds drama and anchors the space.

LIGHT

Those forever flickering lanterns glowing day and night.

TEXTURE

Brick surfaces to stay grounded to your roots.

We gathered all of the French Quarter inspiration we could hold in our hearts, and released it into that empty courtyard in Sewickley, a Pennsylvania town with its own unique flair.

The rest…is history.
